Six years ago we started the recreation of the V72, after several different prototypes were send a couple of times from our manufacturing place in Seattle Washington/US, to two former TFK engineers in Hannover/Germany and back, we got the final version of the New V72S. Aside several problems in locating sources for original parts, like lamination, bobbins, etc. we good a 19 inch version based on the historic V72, with same classic sound.

Most manufactures that were involved in the 1950 and 60, didn't exist anymore, but by luck we recovered several production tools and machinery, that were liberated buy former employees before they were laid off when those companies closed in the early 1980s. After rebuilding them and recreating the missing tools from scratch (to detailed instruction by those old gentleman) we finally build the first production version of the V72S in 1998.

All components are made here in Gaylord/KS in every detail to the historic production drawings of the early 1950s and fit also as replacement in the historic V Series units.
We incorporated several more modern production materials, like silverplated Teflon wire, high insulation magnet wire, etc. to insure the safe use of phantom power, without blowing up the input transformer.
